Quiet Village

Humans are social beasts. We aren't isolated, there's too many of us. But if humans were evenly spread, we'd become lonely and frightened. So we make hamlets, villages, towns, cities. We clump together. But this is nothing new. As much as out technology advances, or our governments become more civilized, we still need to be together. As much as we delude ourselves into thinking we've changed, there is no difference between a quiet village by the Amazon and a bustling metropolis by the Fraser.
